Commençons par préciser que Nancy Sinatra est bel et bien son patronyme. Née un 24 décembre à Liège, en Belgique, c'est son papa qui, fan du célèbre crooner, a choisi de la prénommer Nancy.
Lien de parenté avec Frank, vous demanderez-vous ? "Aucune idée, je sais juste que sa famille vient de Lercara Friddi, en Sicile, tout comme mes grands-parents paternels" nous dit-elle. "Tout ce que je peux affirmer, c’est que la musique est une passion familiale!"

Nancy a commencé à chanter à l’âge de 12 ans et elle a très vite pris goût au plaisir de l’interprétation qui l’a menée à la découverte du théâtre et du cinéma. Si elle aimait se mettre dans la peau d’un personnage complètement imaginaire et s’approprier des histoires en chantant, elle ne pensait pas travailler un jour à la télévision. Et pourtant, sa première émission télé lui a été confiée à l'âge de 19 ans!

L’idée de pouvoir divertir le public par le biais du petit écran, de la grande lucarne ou de la scène, la transporte complètement.

Elle voue une attention sans faille à chaque projet qui lui est soumis. Si l'un d'eux provoque son enthousiasme, elle n'hésite pas à s'y investir à fond et à y déployer toute son énergie. Rien ne la motive plus qu'un nouveau challenge à relever, parce que, la plupart du temps, cela représente pour elle une expérience humaine enrichissante.

Born on December the 24th in Liege, Belgium, her father, a fan of the crooner Frank Sinatra, chose to name her Nancy in homage to the singer.

As for the link with the famous Frank Sinatra, Nancy states: "I have no idea. All I know is that Frank's family is from Lercara Friddi, in Sicily, just like my grand-parents on my dad's side are. All I can say is that music is in the family!"

Nancy started singing when she was 12 years old and took great pleasure in interpreting songs, which led her to cinema but she never thought she would work in television! When she was 19, she was offered her first job in a television show!

The idea of entertaining people on screen or on a stage thrilled her!

When Nancy is offered a job she likes, she gives it all her soul and energy to make the best of it. Nothing motivates her more than a new challenge, because she considers every single one of them as one more rewarding human experience.
